En el ámbito de las Ciencias Políticas, la rebeldía y la intolerancia parecen la antítesis de la primera, por cuanto la imposición sugiere de alguna manera un acto violento, aunque se realice de manera pasiva, es decir, sin que haya actos de agresión, tal como lo señala Gutmam en la “Intensidad de la Aptitud”, el simple hecho de tener que aceptar algo en contra de nuestra voluntad es violencia.
