Objetivos de la participación política

Según Mateos, Araceli. (2011). Ciudadanos y Participación Política, se establece una relación reciproca entre el ciudadano y representantes o gobernantes, a la hora de determinar los objetivos políticos siendo estos los siguientes:

1. La información, cuando el ciudadano tiene derecho a recibir todo tipo de datos por parte de los responsables político. La manera como se articula la transmisión de esa información y el acceso que el ciudadano tiene a la misma es importante para medir e interpretar el tipo y cantidad de participación.

2. La consulta, esta se da ya que los ciudadanos tienen derecho a ser consultados por los representantes, las autoridades informan sobre las acciones a desarrollar pero también es necesidad de llevar a cabo otros, es decir, necesita una reciprocidad de un proceso consultivo.

3. La codecisión, refleja en qué medida los ciudadanos son tenidos en cuanta para formar parte de los procesos de toma de decisiones asi como en la negociación de proyectos y políticas públicas.

Objectives of political participation

According to Mateos, Araceli. (2011). Citizens and Political Participation, a reciprocal relationship is established between the citizen and representatives or governors, when determining the political objectives, these being the following:

2. The consultation, this is the reason why citizens have the right to be consultants for the representatives, the authorities inform about the actions to be developed but they also need to carry out other things, that is, they need a reciprocity of a consultative process.

3. Codecision, reflecting the extent to which citizens are taken into account to be part of the decision-making processes as well as in the negotiation of projects and public policies.
