América Latina la Revolución de la Esperanza
América Latina es una de las regiones del mundo más favorecidas por las riquezas naturales. Para describir la situación de América Latina tradicionalmente se han señalado las diferencias entre ricos y pobres, pero poco se ha hablado y escrito sobre las diferencias e injusticias que pueden producir esta situación por el enorme poder que genera del saber y que no siempre es bien utilizado. Algunos justifican que porque saben, todo lo pueden; que en sus manos está no sólo dominar al mundo y a la naturaleza, sino también a sus semejantes.
Si las personas fueran conscientes de su propia dignidad como seres humanos, si descubrieran la inmensa valía de su inteligencia, de su voluntad y de su espíritu, si el velo de la ignorancia acabara, si superarán sus prevenciones religiosas y fetichistas encontrarían una luz que no se puede apagar y dejarían de ser juguetes fáciles de intereses ideológicos, de la ansiedad desmesurada de poder y de conjuras foráneas para mantener escogida la verdad e impedir que esta región de una vez por todas se despierte y comience a protagonizar en correcta dirección su rol en el concierto de la historia universal.
Finalmente, el pobre es básicamente inteligente, tiene capacidades y aquí radica la gran esperanza de que supere su pobreza, se capacite y aprenda a aprovechar el mundo que lo rodea, a conservar los recursos naturales, a vivir en sociedad y a construir nuevas condiciones de vida para sí mismo, para su familia y para su descendencia. Si bien la pobreza en este continente es radical, no significa que sea inerradicable.
