En materia de Derechos Humanos existen desafios por cumplir por parte de todos los Estados a nivel mundial, en tal sentido les presento los XXI retos para un siglo con Derechos Humanos de José Juániz Maya.
El reto de una paz entendida no sólo como la ausencia de tensiones, sino como la práctica de la justicia en todo el mundo.
El reto de la solidaridad basada en la idea de compartir y preservar los recursos del planeta.
El reto del crecimiento demográfico en el planeta.
El reto de la convivencia universal, construida desde la desigualdad, la fraternidad humana, el respeto a la diversidad cultural, el mestizaje social y el disfrute compartido de los recursos del planeta, valores frente al racismo, la xenofobia y el fundamentalismo ideológico.
El reto de la desigualdad de hombres y mujeres.
El reto de la protección de la infancia frente al abandono, la falta de afecto, su explotación laboral, bélica y sexual, los malos tratos, la enfermedad, el hambre y la pobreza.
El reto de la integración social y laboral de las personas discapacitadas.
El reto de la seguridad alimentaria para toda la humanidad, entendida en términos cuantitativos y cualitativos.
El reto de la protección de la salud y la asistencia sanitaria.
El reto de la educación básica universal.
El reto de la protección social y los derechos sociales que configuran el Estado de Bienestar.
El reto de la salud laboral frente a la siniestralidad y los viejos y nuevos riesgos laborales.
El reto de la reparación de las víctimas de las guerras, genocidios y catástrofes provocadas por el hombre.
El reto de la investigación biomédica y del reconocimiento del derecho a morir dignamente.
El reto del desarme universal.
El reto de la seguridad mundial y ciudadana ante la criminalidad organizada.
El reto del nuevo modelo universal de interrelaciones humanas, que propicia la sociedad de la información y del conocimiento.
El reto de un modelo de sociedad civil mundial, en el que imperen a nivel universal los valores del compromiso social, el sentido de la responsabilidad, la conciencia crítica y la generosidad, frente a la competencia, el individualismo y el consumo sin límite.
El reto de la reforma de la Organización de Naciones Unidas (ONU) y la construcción de un nuevo orden mundial. Una propuesta jurídica para cambiar el mundo.
El reto de una mundialización alternativa basada en la solidaridad. La renta básica universal como derecho fundamental de la persona.
